the largest run club in Indianapolis!

Founded in 1978 with a vision to bring together runners and walkers of all abilities, we’re dedicated to building a community where everyone feels encouraged and supported in their fitness journey.

Indy Runners and Walkers is a volunteer-led, non-profit club. As a member of the Road Runners Club of America, we’re dedicated to fostering health, fitness, and community connections for all paces and skill levels.

Whether you’re aiming to complete your first 5K, set a personal record, or just enjoy a weekly run or walk with friends, we have a place for you.

Our mission is to make running and walking accessible and enjoyable for everyone, no matter their experience or pace. 

We aim to provide diverse workouts for group runs and walks, social events, fitness education, leadership development, and organized races. Our club is a place where everyone can set and achieve personal goals, connect with like-minded fitness enthusiasts, and become part of a supportive Indianapolis community.

Indy Runners and Walkers strives to meet our members’ needs with a wide range of activities:

  • Weekly Group Runs and Walks: We host weekly runs and walks, designed for a variety of goals and fitness levels. Learn more here!
  • Training Programs: Free participation in our training programs (Fall and Spring options available!) for all Indy Runners and Walkers members. Learn more here!
  • Social Events and Community: We believe fitness is more enjoyable together, and our social gatherings help members connect and form lasting friendships.
  • Organized Races and Competitions: Participate in races across Indianapolis and take advantage of our comprehensive race calendar.
  • Fitness Education: We offer resources and guidance to support our members’ journey toward healthy living and fitness.
  • Volunteer Leadership: Our club is powered by volunteers. Members have opportunities to lead, coordinate events, and make a difference in the community.
